Watch Winder

Watch Winders are devices that keep self-winding automatic watches running when not worn. They are a popular, necessary tool for watch collectors who demand precision and reliability. Automatic watches use mechanical movements, powered by a rotor or weight that uses gravity and the constant motion of the wrist to stay charged. The watch winders slowly spin the watch some minutes per day, keeping it wound and ready to wear. These devices are rather expensive, but I offer you an affordable alternative: a custom-built Watch Winder that fits your budget of under 20 dollars. This DIY Watch Winder rotates for 10 minutes every 50 minutes (Cycle mode: 10 minutes On/50 minutes Off). You'll need the following components: * n.1 DC 12V Power Adapter (±5.00$) * n.1 Timer delay rele 12V with 'Cycle Mode' (±4,50$) * n.1 DC 12v Synchronous motor 5rpm (±6,00$) * n.3 Cable ties You can purchase these components on Amazon or eBay. To assemble the Watch Winder, follow these steps: 1. Block the engine with two cable ties on the 'Watch Winder Box.stl' (as shown in the picture). 2. Insert the 'Watch support.stl' on the engine and block it with one cable tie (as shown in the picture). 3. Optionally print the 'Timer delay Back cover.stl' to protect the timer delay circuit. 4. Connect the wires according to the diagram, then set the Timer Delay to Cycle Mode and configure the off time to 50 minutes and the on time to 10 minutes. 5. Insert the Timer Delay into the back of the box and close it with the 'Box back cover.stl'. This interlocking design ensures a secure fit without the need for glue. Print settings: * Resolution: 0.30 * No rafts * No supports * Infill: 20%
