This model prints without needing assembly. As soon as the print finishes, flip it over and carefully push the big gear loose by working your way around its circle until it comes free from the top housing. Do the same for the small gear. It takes a bit of force to get the gears unstuck, but once they're clean, they turn smoothly. Print with PLA filament, using a raft, but no supports. The print settings are 0.20 mm layer height and 10% infill.
