Watch Movement Holder for Automatic Movements
thingiverse
As you probably noticed, this is a watch movement holder for the NH36, NH35 series (or 4Rxx series) of movements. Dimensionwise it will probably fit the 7S26, 7S36 as well as the 6R15 series. The latter models were not tested though. It contains of three parts: - The main thing is the movement holder itself. Dimensionwise the steps are designed to (1) clear the rotor and (2) to hold the movement by the plastic movement ring. The holder widens towards the bottom to ensure a safe stand on your table/worktop. The top is slimmed down to enable secure operation of the crown while working, e.g. placing hands on the movement. Other amenities are the 12 o'clock marking, a hopefully practical addition and, in conjunction with the aforementioned gimmick, two distinctly positioned crown stem cutouts. The first cutout is placed on the 3 o'clock position while the other is placed on the (almost) 4 o'clock position which is widely used on e.g. diver's watches. The other parts are - A bottom facing lid intended as a dust cap. It is snap-on to make a secure connection with the holder. - A lid for the top. The design is made for the widely used 28.5 mm dials. It was intended to serve as a makeshift dust proofing of the dial and movement in case the are delays which stop you from finishing the watchmaking job (parts missing, recreational break etc.). It can also serve to hold the movement dial side down without adding stress to the seconds hand pinion. Tell me if it worked out for you!
