This artwork draws inspiration from a conceptual piece by Garrett Hamon, which can be viewed at http://ghamon.tumblr.com/. As a test, I recreated this model to gauge my ability to accurately render a 3D representation from a 2D image. Textures were secondary in this exercise, as my primary focus was on modeling the structure itself.
