Washing machine lid closed trigger (for older KitchenAid washer)
thingiverse
Our washing machine lid was no longer triggering the "lid closed" switch so the washer would not run after filling with water. This replaces the trigger with a slightly wider and longer one. It works! No longer have any issues with the washing machine starting. I printed this in PLA+ at 0.2mm. The clip sides should be free-moving to properly clip onto the washer lid but they have 0.1mm gaps in the model which don't show at 0.2mm prints. I had to take a blade to open them up. I assume at a higher resolution, it would not be an issue. Also, it would probably make more sense for a longer term solution to print this in ABS. If anyone does this, please let me know how it turns out!
