A parametric knob designed to suit Maytag washers may also be applied to other devices requiring a knob that mounts on a shaft with one flat side. To create this part, first measure the following dimensions: shaft diameter (shaftdiameter), shaft width at the flat portion (flatwidth), and shaft length (shaftlength). Additionally, note the hole diameter around the shaft (holediameter). Incorporate these measurements into the SCAD file, adding clearances for a snug fit (+1mm for the shaft, 3mm for the hole in this instance). Once inputted, compile and render the design before exporting an STL file.
