Washdown Hose Holster for Milling Machine

This thing is a Washdown Hose Holster for a milling machine, designed specifically for the Haas TM1p but adaptable for use on most machines. The earlier TM1's lack a washdown hose, and the standard Haas hose kit with nozzle and holster retails at $145 without the Y-fitting. The kit with the Y-fitting but no holster costs $95, while the DIY version offers further cost savings. Note that this project is not intended to replace the Haas hose holster; its hole pattern differs from the original. The Haas version is constructed from steel and should prove unbreakable, assuming one already possesses it. I attached the holster to the side of the enclosure using (4) #8 machine screws with nyloc nuts, opting for these over sheet metal screws to prevent sharp ends from protruding inside the enclosure. To create this project, I printed the holster with 4 perimeter walls for added solidity, although the optimal number may vary depending on one's printer specifications. In addition to the holster and mounting screws required for assembly, you will also need: (1) A Y-Fitting (available at Home Depot), priced at $12.79; this is the part I utilized in my project. (I had initially considered using a different Y-fitting, available from Home Depot and priced at $8.46, but it was not readily available on the shelf.) (1) A hose measuring 5/8 inch O-D x 3/8 inch I-D x 10 feet PVC braided vinyl tube (Home Depot), costing $10.78. (2) Hose end female fittings (Home Depot), priced at $11.30. (1) Male to male adapters for garden hoses (Home Depot), available for $5.18. (2) Hose clamps. (1) A hose nozzle, which can be selected based on its compatibility with the holster. Upon reviewing my process, I would likely opt for a coiling hose in place of making one from scratch in a future project.
