Modern measuring cups for laundry detergent are often too large for modern concentrated formulas, leading to environmentally damaging dosages. Two standard measuring cups have a smoothed interior volume of 61.5 and 67.6 milliliters. To calculate other sizes using triple multiplication, simply take the cube root of the desired ratio. For example, to convert a 67.6-milliliter cup into an 80-milliliter cup, you need to multiply by (80/67.6)^(1/3), which equals 1.0577.
