Wartortle is a bipedal Pokémon with an indigo coloring reminiscent of turtles. Its brown eyes are framed by dark blue streaks that run along each cheek, while two sharp teeth jut out from the upper jaw. Three clawed fingers and pointed toes characterize its limbs. Long ears and tail are covered in pale blue fur. A brown shell, featuring a pale yellow underside, fully encases its body. A thick white rim distinguishes the upper and lower halves of the shell. As Wartortle matures, its tail fur darkens and may be adorned with algae growths. Scars from past battles often appear on the shell as well.
