Wartburg Castle Replica Model Set Scale: 1:500 Number of Parts: 123 Difficulty Level: Extremely Challenging Dimensions: Approximately 150 x 430 x 115mm (5.9 x 16.9 x 4.5 inches) All components were meticulously designed and printed by Marco Bergman. The baseplate is made from precision-cut black acrylic sheet, carefully laser-processed for optimal stability. Printed using a UP! Plus 3D printer with standard white pp3dp filament at a thickness of 0.2mm. Printing settings include normal layer adhesion and loose density. To ensure structural integrity, perfboard was securely fastened to the plate with a thin application of liquid ABS adhesive prior to each print for larger items. Designs were created from scratch in Solidworks 2012, referencing the Schreiber-Bogen paper model for foundational dimensions and detailed features obtained from online photographs.
