Warrior Design Combat Knife

This rendition of the renowned Warrior knife, created by Randy Wanner, closely resembles Guy Rafaeli's Spyderco version but has no hilt scales and features a longer blade with a sharper tip angle, similar to the original Al Mar design. Similar to Rafaeli's version, this knife has a handguard that curves away from the fist for smoother transitions. Since the 70s, several companies have produced versions of the Warrior knife, most notably Spyderco and Al Mar. The unique S-shape of the blade is designed for Hwa Rang Do's reverse grip tactics, keeping the tip and edge aligned with the arm's motion arc to increase cutting speed and maintain maximum force. The serrated rear portion, suggested by Michael Echanis, originally enhanced field utility but now serves modern Hwa Rang Do practitioners as a traction device for controlling opponents or off-balancing them when hooked behind joints.
