Warping Test
thingiverse
Assess the warping propensity of print materials and settings using a test wedge; this features a 60-degree angle and a large cross section pulling on an 80 mm base. Cease printing when noticeable deformation occurs, then gauge height for comparison. An example employs Orbi-Tech polycarbonate at 300°C, Kapton tape bed primed with diluted ABS juice at 110°C, 0.225 mm layer height, and a 2.0 W/T ratio; Slic3r 0.8.3 is used for slicing. Three tests are shown: leftmost with 50 mm/s speed, 4 perimeters, and 0.3 fill density; middle at 25 mm/s speed, same as leftmost; rightmost at 50 mm/s speed, but with 2 perimeters and 0.2 fill density.
