Here are the bases I created for my models, and most of them were designed with a flat top or ring base in Fusion 360, where I then used Meshmixer to insert a texture mesh from another model. I probably owe some credit to the creators of those textures, but I've long since forgotten where they came from. Cryx Players, you'll find a wood insert in there that can be used to turn any base into a ship decking base - perfect for pirate models, if I do say so myself.
