King of Walrusfolk is the ruler of the entire nation, essentially consisting out of confederations of family groups and smaller tribes scattered over frozen icy wastelands of the Frozen Reach. King is chosen during long winter festival filled with ritual battles of tribal chieftains interested in that position and the ultimate winner gets to be crowned. This position is mostly ceremonial, although it carries a lot of prestige for the tribe of the victorious chieftain. The king is guarded by troopers gathered from the entire nation and leads the tribes in cases of war, serving as the ultimate judge and peacekeeper during peacetime.
