WarLayer 4 Painting Clamp
thingiverse
This clamp holds WarLayer 4.0 wall sections and support post securely while priming and painting, making it especially useful for airbrushing. Check the WarLayer website for possible future options or take a look at the sample files on Thingverse to get started with your project. You'll find several of my favorite pieces included. Print two jaws and one frame rail to create this clamp. To paint walls, slide the jaws along the rail and wrap a rubber band around the corners to secure them in place. This clamp fits WarLayer 1x, 2x, or 3x wall sections, using different sizes of rubber bands as needed. You can also insert two "T-post-for-multi-level.stl" pieces into the frame rail ends to keep the jaws from sliding off. For painting support posts, the teeth on the frame rail are designed to fit into the slotted channels in the posts. Although it works, I've noticed that ten posts at a time is difficult due to the close spacing of the teeth and the direction of the layers. They can break off easily too. To improve this design, I plan to modify the rail by replacing the teeth with cutouts for inserting "T-post-for-multi-level.stl" pieces, which are much harder to break and will be spaced further apart.
