Warhammer Paint pots holder
thingiverse
You all know the Warhammer 40k Citadel paint pots, right? They're so annoying in size and shape - they take up a lot of space and don't stack well at all. To solve that problem, I designed this paint holder myself, a simple 3D model created using FreeCAD. Here are its features: - It can hold your paints - It's neat and compact - Room for 16 standard-sized Citadel paint pots - Easy access to remove the paint pots from their holes - Measures 14x8x6.3 inches (I'm a bit unsure about that last measurement) - The corners are neatly rounded, which is great - The top platform has holes in it so you can place it on pillars Now, here are its cons: - Limited to holding only 16 pots - No square corners, unfortunately Q&A Time! Question: Will you make this thing bigger? Answer: No, I won't increase the size of this model. However, there's a chance I might add a middle platform or a larger one in the future. Question: Have you printed and tested it yet? Answer: Yes, I have! Currently, I've only printed the top part with quality set to 0.2 and speed at 20. So far, so good - no problems whatsoever. But the poles and holes for the poles need a bit of light sanding because they're a tad too tight. The holes for the paint pots are nice, though, but maybe a bit too roomy (might need some adjustments). What you can do is try it out yourself and let me know where I need to make some tweaks. Just be kind, okay?
