Warhammer 40,000's 8th edition is just around the corner. As it arrives, vehicles and creatures will have health pools measuring up to a maximum of 20 - or possibly even more. At various points during a battle, their performance will decline. Instead of scattering random dice or tokens across the table, I sought out a simple solution to gauge hit points and health status at a glance. This straightforward design combines a D20 cup holder for stand dice or an MTG spindown die with a three-stage rotating traffic light token indicating the creature's current status. Users can instantly see if their beast is under any penalty due to wounds without needing to refer back to its sheet or card.
