Warhammer Inquisitorial Rosette

Warhammer Inquisitorial Rosette

My sister aided my brother in crafting this project from start to finish (he mastered the OpenSCAD syntax with minimal help). This design initially drew inspiration from http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:399182. Our initial prototype incorporated a skull similar to that one, yet our final version now showcases a less intricate skull model for reduced file size. The rosette is symmetrical along both top-bottom and left-right axes, so printing two equal halves then connecting them ensures superior print quality. It's best to create each half separately before assembling the complete piece. File Explanation: A .scad document contains the outline and placement information for this entire project, while the skull.stl file only houses the individual skull model and is an OpenSCAD prerequisite. Full and Half STL documents feature a whole rosette and one separate part respectively. Since it's symmetrical in design, duplicating and combining two equal halves provides equivalent results to printing a full version without necessitating extra support materials. This helps yield visually appealing prints. To print the full piece by default instead of half, remove comments from the final line in our OpenSCAD file.
