I conceptualized this project as a straightforward exercise to hone my skills in surface rendering. The initial design drew inspiration from the iconic shotgun wielded by Warhammer 40k's Space Marines, but I opted for a more understated aesthetic reminiscent of the Imperial Guard, focusing on textured elements that convey a sense of ruggedness and utilitarian functionality.
