Working alongside a buddy crafting a WH40k Cosplay Armor, a helmet for his cosplay needed to be designed. My latest effort at the helmet model follows. Printer Settings: The printer utilized is Repetier XYZ. Rafts: Yes Supports: Yes Notes: This model needs to be cut to fit properly on any chosen 3D printer's bed, which is why I left it intact in its current form. Post-Printing Process: This project demands a fair amount of sanding and dremmel work to carve out eye slots for replacement with tinted inserts. Sanding and dremel tool use will also be necessary to further clean the interior. Design Process Details: 123D Design software was used from inception to completion. Initially, I considered utilizing a pepakura model as the base but faced too many challenges with the thickness of the shell hindering its printability. Therefore, I opted for creating this design from scratch instead.
