Warhammer 40 k - 28 mm scale ork stompa - fan made
thingiverse
Hello, I've finally completed my one-of-a-kind Stompa model on a 28 mm scale after working tirelessly for a long time. This imposing miniature stands between 30-40 cm high, depending on the level of detail I choose to add, such as the chimney. It also features a compact fortress at the back that can accommodate around 10 Orks. Two turrets are strategically placed - one designed to fit an Ork and another for a Goblin. Additionally, there's room for another Ork. The underside of the body boasts a square space perfect for placing an Ork with its turret. Although I haven't had time to paint it yet, I'm excited about the prospect. The Stompa's body is divided into 4 parts, and I've included a large Ork/Glyph face that can be glued on for added detail. The feet are securely attached to the underside of the body, ensuring stability. If balance becomes an issue, a base can be inserted between the feet and the body, allowing you to print the details at a lower resolution for faster printing. Each arm is comprised of three parts: a gun, an arm forgun, and an arm pole that connects to the body; a chainsaw, an armforchainsaw, and an arm pole; and various shoulder pads, with one designed specifically for fitting an Ork. For decoration purposes, you can place small turrets under the holes or insert Ork heads into them. The head is constructed from multiple parts: a plate connecting the body to the head, a headpiece, a jaw, and a Glyph for added detail. When it comes to the watch post, you have the option of placing either an Ork or a door (complete with a turret door file). This requires the use of watch post part 1 and 2, as well as three holders. There's also space for a small turret on top, along with two files used to create a large turret for the watch post. To decorate the border, I recommend using the glyphessmall file, which I employed about seven times. To complete the look, I included files for holding the chimney's (which I utilized five of) and another file, holdersfordecoandminiturret, used to place Glyphs as decorations and a mini turret for a Goblin. For the fortress, I relied on various platform files and metal plates, along with ladder files and additional ladder pieces. I even created movable rope ladders using chain and turret holder files (although this feature is not strictly necessary). To further enhance the look, you can stud the platforms using turret holder files - let your imagination run wild! I understand that building this project might seem daunting, but trust me when I say it's an absolute blast. My directions may not be entirely clear, so please don't hesitate to reach out if you need assistance or encounter any issues. Happy printing and building, Frederique All the parts were designed using 3D software, and rest assured that no copyrighted products were scanned or copied.
