Designed to hold the cards and dice used in various wargames, which normally don't fit too well in the narrow tackle boxes used to store the pieces. Can hold up to 3 sets of cards. Alternately, top compartment can be used to store dice, and once the cards are out and the game is in play, the double-chambered compartment can be used as a place to roll dice to keep them from rolling off the table or knocking over game pieces. Lid secures via the use of 9 magnets. Magnet wells were designed specifically to accommodate the FINDMAG brand 6x3mm magnets, which are actually closer to 2.7mm wide instead of 3. Magnet can be purchased on Amazon and secured with a drop of super glue. This box was specifically designed for use with Sebastian Bae's Littoral Commander Wargame, however could be used with other games, as well. Each chamber is 42mm deep, leaving enough room for a layer of felt to be glued to the bottom to cushion the dice blows, if you should so choose. Chambers are high enough to hold cards in card sleeves or laminate, if you are using a custom built version of the game. Photos of the printed model are version 1, files are for version 2, which includes a notch in the top compartment to allow the user to remove the cards without having to overturn the box.
