Warframe Nyx Action Figure
thingiverse
I desperately wanted those Warframe figures but they were sold out, so I came up with a brilliant plan: "Why not create one myself?" Having access to a reliable 3D printer, I began by browsing through a 3D model, then I successfully downloaded the 3D model from Steam Workshop specifically for Tennogen development. But that wasn't enough. A fantastic figure requires an incredible pose to print, and that's exactly what I was struggling with - deciding on the perfect one. Well...that's tough, what should I do? Although I have limited expertise in CAD software, I decided to give Fusion 360 a try to tinker with the 3D model since I knew Blender wouldn't cut it. About those figure things, I drew inspiration from my small collection of 1:6 scale Hot Toys figures, non-scale Amazing Yamaguchi Revoltech figures, and some old Master Grade Gundams I assembled way back in 2006. With that in mind, I leaned towards the idea of making an articulated figure. In Fusion, I started drawing joints and tools, blew off the dust from my Wacom tablet, and began drawing the cuts to the mesh. It's a low-poly model, used to create Tennogen skins. If you have expertise in 3D modeling, feel free to beef up the poly count. This figure boasts an impressive 38 points of articulation
