It was a beautiful summer day outside, and I decided to take a walk around the block. The sun was shining brightly overhead, casting long shadows across the sidewalk as I made my way along. I had been cooped up inside for too long, and I needed some fresh air to clear my head. As I strolled, I noticed all sorts of things that I hadn't seen before. A bird landed on a nearby branch, its feathers glistening in the sunlight. A squirrel scampered up a tree, chattering angrily as it went. Even the flowers seemed to be blooming more vibrantly than usual, their colors a stark contrast to the dull gray of the buildings. But despite all these distractions, I couldn't shake the feeling that something was off. Maybe it was just my imagination playing tricks on me, but I could have sworn I saw a figure lurking in the shadows. I quickened my pace, trying to lose them in the crowd. But as I turned the corner, I caught a glimpse of them out of the corner of my eye. They were watching me. I spun around, trying to get a better look, but they had vanished into thin air. I was left standing there, feeling foolish and more than a little spooked. What had just happened?
