This is a reworked version of Martian War Machine from 1953 Movie "War of the Worlds" by mech-G. The original model used in the 1950's movie was a work of genius. Combination of a Manta Ray and a Cobra snake. Awesome design. Short Video of the ship here. https://youtu.be/jE_V-R1lC3k I wanted an LED lit version and thus had to rework it to allow the wiring. Believe me, it was some work to get everything fitting. I am building a SciFi N Scale Train set and this ship will come up out of a lake diorama. The body has been hollowed allowing for easy installation of lighting. This was all printed on a resin printer. Has not been done on FDM. Included Files: Ship Main Body. Hollowed to 1.5mm. Mount Plug. Due to there not being a stand, this 10mm plug is to cover the hole. I used a 10mm piece of clear plastic tubing for running the wires. Nose-Hollow-5mm. This nose is hollowed and has a 5mm hole for a standard LED. Nose Solid. This nose is solid without a hole for LED. Heat Ray. This is a hollowed model of the Snake heat ray. Heat Ray Lens The lens over the Snake. Movie-Heatraylens Modeled after the Infrared one used on the actual movie version. Wingtip Light. The wingtips. WATCH OUT on the orientation, match the proper radius Round Repulsor The repulsor lens for the bottom of the ship. Mount Plug This fills the hole on the bottom if you are not fabricating a stand. WaroftheWorldshipBody. This is a CTB with supports ready for printing on a resin printer supporting the CTB format. For the Repulser, heat ray and wingtip lights. I used Pre-soldered Micro Litz Wired Leads White SMD Led 0603 + Muti-Resistor LEDs from amazon. For the Nose, I used a standard 5mm green led with resistor. Body printed on a Saturn 2 8k. Rest printed on a Mars pro 2. Wingtips, nose , repulsors Elegoo Green Water Washable Resin Heat Ray Lens Elegoo Red Water Washable Resin Body and Snake Siraya Tech Smokey black with 5% Tenacious.
