H.G. Wells' timeless classic was brought vividly to life in a film depicting Martians invading Earth. Details of the movie's creation can be found here: http://www.roger-russell.com/war/war.htm The models used in the film were originally crafted from copper metal and green glass, carefully designed by art director Al Nozaki. The general shape was intended to resemble that of a manta ray. In the movie, All components could have been printed using my Creality Ender 3 but decided to print the Nose Diffuser, Wing tip Diffusers, Heat Ray Diffuser, and repulse Diffusers on my ELEGOO MARS UV Photocuring LCD 3D Printer https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B07KRTZTYG/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 using a transparent Resin. While the remaining parts were produced with PLA Filament 1.75mm Silk Copper, ERYONE Silky Shiny Filament PLA 1.75mm https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B07KF3HGV2/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 The ship was reimagined for a 1964 film featuring Adam West, "Robinson Crusoe on Mars" https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0058530/?ref_=nm_flmg_act_161. For this movie, they removed the heat ray from the top of the ship and created one from a flat round section underneath, also closing up the Repulser hole on the bottom. There is an abundance of information in this model https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3159281 by https://www.thingiverse.com/mech-G/about So where Mech-g says "In the movie, it's hard to tell the metal is copper, so silver would look good as well," he isn't incorrect. The way I created it allows for electronics to be inserted, providing lights in the locations they would appear. Sorry everyone, but due to someone selling the DVS Seaquest item on Ebay for over $100, I have been forced to alter the licensing on this item.
