Wanhoa gantry rod ends
thingiverse
I made adjustments after the ends broke and the gantry came crashing down onto the bed, crunching it into oblivion. I initially replicated the originals but after a few weeks, the linear bearings began to sound like they were filled with shattered glass, so I created some offset ones followed by these slotted ones as the rails were too far apart and putting strain on the bearing. I installed offset or standard ones on one side while tightening them and then used the slotted ones on the other side to bring the two rails into perfect alignment. I crafted both offset and standard bearings, but the slotted type should be mounted directly whereas the others will require reaming of the holes. The offset ones feature indents that indicate the direction of the offset, allowing you to orient them accordingly for each corner.
