These will allow you to adjust the Y axis bars on a Wanhao i3 V2.1.\r\n\r\nThe Wanhao i3 as stock does allow some adjustment of the Y bars, but this kit offers much more potential for fine-tuning.\r\n\r\n \r\n![fini]\r\n[fini]:https://i.imgur.com/pcQXv6S.jpg\r\n\r\n \r\n \r\n# Bits Required \r\n\r\nFor a set of 4 adjusters, you'll need:\r\n\r\n - 8 x 30mm M3 bolts, depending on how much adjustment you require, down to ~25mm M3 will probably be sufficient\r\n - 8 x 22mm M3 bolts or thereabouts, up to ~30mm is likely fine\r\n - 4 x 20mm M3 bolts, bigger is okay\r\n - 12 x nylon M3 nuts\r\n - 8 x M3 square nuts\r\n\r\nIf you only need one adjuster, divide the above list by 4.\r\n\r\nYou can probably get away with using just 20 x 25mm M3 bolts for this project and it would be fine.\r\n\r\nParts required for ONE adjuster are shown here, the head types don't matter :\r\n \r\n![parts]\r\n[parts]:https://i.imgur.com/NVI8fq9.png\r\n\r\n \r\n \r\n# Printing\r\n\r\nBoth main.stl and lock.stl should be printed as oriented in the provided stl files.\r\n\r\nAssuming a 0.2mm layer height....\r\n\r\n \r\n### Main.stl\r\n - 30% infill\r\n - 5 perimeter walls to strengthen the bolt holes\r\n\r\n \r\n### Lock.stl\r\n - 30% infill\r\n - 25 bottom layers, this is to strengthen the lock "arch", the lock height had to be kept minimal to avoid impeding the carriage plate\r\n - 5 perimeter walls\r\n\r\n \r\n \r\n# Instructions\r\n\r\nAssuming you're printing one for each corner.\r\n\r\n - Print 4 x main.stl and 4 x lock.stl\r\n\r\n - Once printed, check that the main/lock parts fit together well, smooth off any rough bits, maybe run a 3mm drill through the holes to remove stray plastic\r\n\r\n - Take a main.stl piece, put an M3 nylon nut into the center hole, it should easily drop in when the nut is oriented correctly\r\n\r\n - Insert the 20mm bolt through the bottom center hole and tighten through the nylon nut\r\n\r\n - Once the end of the bolt is flush with the bottom of the "box", it's probably worth rechecking that it's level before putting the carriage plate back on.\r\n\r\n \r\n# Caveats\r\n\r\nSince this effectively adjusts the y bars, it can affect the height of your carriage plate, which in turn may mean your Y endstop needs adjusting vertically so the switch makes contact in the correct place.\r\n\r\nSo before dismantling your printer, it might be prudent to print out an alternate Y endstop mount just in case.\r\n\r\nI currently use this one, but it wasn't designed for this project, though I do know it has enough adjustment potential since it's what I'm using. Your mileage may vary!
