Wanhao i3 Y Axis Pulley Bracket (Strengthened)

Wanhao i3 Y Axis Pulley Bracket (Strengthened)

thingiverse

This is a replacement bracket for the Y-axis pulley on the Wanhao Duplicator i3 and clones. The stock bracket can flex during print, causing wavy lines on the print surface and added noise. This design is based on Amkza's but has been modified to allow printing standing up, resulting in extra strength. Various bits and pieces are also thickened and filleted for added durability. Amkza is thanked for sharing his design. This bracket is compatible with the front Y brace from Azza's Z-brace mod. An update to version 1.1 has been made, providing more clearance for the pulley bearing. Print Settings: Resolution: Thick layers are recommended, with a resolution of 0.28mm. Infill: High infill settings, such as 50% or more, will provide optimal results. Notes: The holes may need cleaning up with a drill. It is essential to remember that holes will need to be drilled on the printer and it is well worth doing so. For further instructions, see Amkza's original design, including a drill template. Amkza's spacers are not required for this remix. Required: 1x bracket (this STL) 1x drill template (optional, from Amkza or alternatively use this bracket as a drill template) 1x bearing pulley (the stock one) 1x M5 35mm screw 1x M5 nylock nut (the stock one) 6x M3 10mm screws 6x M3 nuts 12x M3 washers (optional)
