Update 4/26/16: I'd had the cover photo with the dial mounted upside down initially. It's been removed for now and replaced with the correct picture. The "Handle", a long thin component, faces up and serves as a level to facilitate easy detachment and attachment to the x-rod using minimal force. This feature may be shortened in future designs, but its current length adds only a few minutes to the print time and is worth it, in my opinion. I was drawn to the design on Thingiverse (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:944632) because of how easily it mounted to the x-rod and detached afterwards. However, it didn't accommodate my round digital dial gauge properly. On the other hand, http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1445744/ fit the dial perfectly, but I wasn't satisfied with the tension it applied to the x-rods.
