The Upgrade of a Total Success in Wanhao Engineering. Standard Idler Bolt Has Only One Fixing Point. When Belt Is Tightened Properly, The Idler Bolt Tends to Move to Side And Idler Bearings Work Under Heavy Stress And Get Destroyed Quickly. This Upgrade Adds A Missing Wall In Z Axis Bearing Bracket And Allows To Mount X-Axis Idler Properly With Two Mount Points. You Will Need: X1 M5x45 Bolt X1 M5 Nylon Nut X1 M5 Ordinary Nut X4 M3x15-25 A Pile Of M5x1 Washers X2 5x11x4 Bearings 1) Print Parts. 2) Disassemble The Z Axis Bearing Block With Idler In It. 3) Unscrew The Linear Bearing And Put It Aside. 4) Take The Plate Part And Install It In Bearing Block With Nut Hole To Outside And Closer To Belt Window. 5) Use Lines On Plate To Pre-Mark Hole Position For Drilling On Metal Bearing Bracket. 6) Step Off 5m From Edge And Mark Dots For Drilling. 7) Drill 4 Holes About 3-3.2mm Diameter And Clean Edges After. 8) Install M5x45 Bolt From Outside Of Bracket (Leave 5mm Unscrewed) And Put Ordinary Nut On It (DO NOT TIGHTEN THE NUT). Then Place Idler, Then Place M5 Washers So The Would Fit Up To Plate Part. Warning! Idler Should Spin Freely! Don't Squeeze It! 9) Push In Nut With Nylon In A Plate Part (Might Need To Use A Hammer Lightly). 10) Install Plate Part And Screw In 4 M3 Bolts. 11) Check If There Is Enough And Not Too Many Washers On The Bolt. There Must Be Not More Than 1mm Spacing On The Bolt. 12) Now The Most Tricky Part - You Must Screw In The Rest 5mm Of M5x45 Bolt. Use Needle Nose Pliers To Hold The Ordinary Nut In Place And Screw In The Main Bolt So That It Would Screw In A Nut In A Plate Part. 13) Now Tighten The Ordinary Nut To Metal Bracket (Away From Idler). Done! Print Settings: Printer: Wanhao I3 V2 Rafts: No Supports: No Infill: 100% Notes: PLA, 100% infill, 0.2 layer, 102% flow Post-Printing: Idler Supports After Printing Idler - Break Off Supports From "Cheaks" And Clean Then.
