After removing the factory belt tensioner spring, I found it challenging to install the X-axis belt without slightly rounding off the screw attachment holes during installation. This is due to the necessity of pre-tensioning and stretching the belt a bit and aligning the screw in a very small space. The added benefit of these supports is that they help the screws in operation and reduce stress on the attachment holes. To achieve this, you will need 5mm longer screws since the originals are 4mm x 20mm, requiring two replacements of 4mm x 25mm. Instructions: 1) Place the thinner support piece over the screws first. 2) Next, install the belts, tensioning the belt requires angling the bolts slightly to get the belts on. The tie strap heads should be pointing towards the front of the printer. 3) Install the thicker support brace next. This will pull the screws together and make the belt perfectly tensioned. 4) Move the whole assembly over the screw holes on the printer and secure them by screwing down so that the belts line up vertically with the belt above it.
