Wanhao i3 Plus X rework - IGUS Z Bushings
thingiverse
I'm excited to share my reworked Wanhao i3 Plus X with IGUS Z Bushings. All of the files are meticulously labeled to ensure you print the right number. I exclusively use PETG filament with a 4-walled structure and 20% infill for optimal results. So far, I haven't created a z-brace for it yet; instead, I'm currently relying on https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:921948 with the PLUS feet for now. When installing new X axes, make sure to assemble them first and install the crash pins on top of the Z rods during assembly. Extruders/spool setup: I have an extruder bolted to the top bolts that hold the rod in place on both sides, along with a spool holder on each side hanging off the top-side screws. I use 5/16 inch rod and bearing spool holders to securely hold the spools for each side. The fancy nut allows you to adjust preload on the bearing so the spools don't spin freely; it simply touches the bearing, leaving some room for adjustment.
