Wanhao i3 Plus LED Carriage for Print Bed

We're showcasing the Powerspec Wanhao Duplicator i3 Plus at a trade show, and we wanted to give it a premium look by adding a custom carriage that holds an LED strip. This design was surprisingly easy to print with minimal support requirements and fits perfectly in place. To ensure a smooth display experience, you'll need to use a printer with a larger build volume than the Wanhao itself because our design exceeds the standard print bed size - we explored the possibility of printing it in multiple parts, but that approach proved unstable and caused the LED strip to shift excessively. To further enhance stability, we added raised rings around the springs to prevent them from slipping out of place and introducing unwanted X/Y errors. For this project, we utilized a basic USB-powered LED light kit sourced from Amazon, which provided a straightforward solution for our needs.
