Wanhao i3 Plus LED Carriage for Print Bed

<p>We are bringing the Powerspec Wanhao Duplicator i3 Plus to a trade show and we wanted to add some bling to it so we designed a carriage to hold a LED strip. Very easy to print with minimal support and fits right in. You will need to use a printer that's bigger than the Wanhao because it's bigger than the print bed--we looked at a design that could be printed in parts, but it was not secure and the LED strip moved around too much.</p> <p>As an added bonus, there's also raised rings added to secure the springs so they don't slide around and create X/Y errors.</p> <p>We used a simple LED strip from Amazon: <a href="https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01FJUMP6M/ref=as_li_ss_tl?ie=UTF8&amp;psc=1&amp;linkCode=sl1&amp;linkId=426086c1f6e5a01a209dad4a7bc7e472&amp;language=en_US">USB - Powered LED Light Kit</a></p> <h3>Print Settings</h3> <p><strong>Printer:</strong></p> <p>Lulzbot Taz 6</p> <p class="detail-setting rafts"><strong>Rafts: </strong> <div><p>No</p></div> <p><strong>Supports:</strong></p> <p>Yes</p> <h3>Post-Printing</h3> <p><strong>LED Installation</strong></p> <div><p>1.) Remove all supports from printrn2.) Starting in the back left corner, insert the LED strip where the strip connects with the cable. (see image below)rn3.) Run cable through strain relief and hold in place while you press the LED strip into the channel that goes all the way around the print bed.rn4.) Trim excess LED from strip by cutting where the manufacturer indicates is safe to cutrn5.) Remove last 2 inches of sticky backing and secure into channel. Move Z axis all the way uprn2.) Turn off powerrn3.) Unscrew all 4 adjustments nuts and put springs in containerrn4.) Slide the print bed diagonally through the print and put into place.
