Wanhao i3 Plus extruder block designer's placeholder
thingiverse
This is a versatile object for 3D designers. It was carefully designed to match the precise dimensions of a real-world item. Its purpose is multifaceted: It serves as a virtual placeholder, allowing you to import it into your CAD program and build around it with ease. This helps position features like mounting holes and enables you to visualize the design as a complete whole. It functions as a subtractive tool, enabling you to remove space from another shape, such as creating a knife sheath by using a model of a knife blade to cut a hole into a block. It doubles as a measurement aid, allowing you to open the STL in Netfabb Basic and make virtual measurements from it with precision. It also serves as a physical placeholder, permitting you to print a holder for testing instead of risking your valuable items. This is a detailed model of the extruder block from my Wanhao Duplicator i3 Plus. I utilized it to design the GUST i3 print cooler. Included files are: 1. The X axis bracket that secures everything to the rails. 2. A Micro Swiss hot end and cooling block 3. The stepper motor, extruder gear, heatsink, and cooling fan for the extruder block 4. A file that incorporates all of the above. Each comes in various file formats: - Fusion 360 project (.f3d) - Standard for the Exchange of Product model data (.step) - Stereolithography (.stl)
