Wanhao i3/Monoprice MS RepRapDiscount Full Graphics Smart Controller Case and Adjustable Mount
thingiverse
I recently upgraded my Monoprice Maker Select to a Ramps board, which necessitated changing the screen to the RepRapDiscount Full Graphic Smart Controller. Since I was using the original case, I had to find a way to mount the smart controller without having to drill holes or cut an SD card slot into the case. I remixed the case designed by N1337XYZ by adding a second set of holes on the back piece in order to screw the mount onto it. This mount attaches to the original screw holes for the original MP/Wanhao LCD screen. The back piece of the case fits snugly into the mount, allowing it to be adjustable. The back piece itself is also adjustable and can be bolted at a few different locations on the back of the case. The pictures show the order in which I assembled it, with the finished product posted first. This entire mount and setup is bolted together and attached using M3 screws/bolts. Not included with the files are the small spacers I used on the bolts that hold the case together. I recommend somewhere between a 20-22mm long bolt, as I used 25mm bolts which were slightly too long. The M3 bolts threaded easily into the back part of the case without any issues. I also used one M3 nut on the back mount. To secure it in place, I heated up the nut until it melted and merged with the mount material. This print was completed without supports, at 20% infill, using PLA material.
