Wanhao i3 / Maker Select Z-Brace 5/16" Threaded Rod Cover
thingiverse
My first design as a newcomer to the 3D printing community, I wanted to conceal the unsightly threaded rods on my Maker Select V2 without resorting to pricey and ugly store-bought cable loom solutions.\nThe design stands at 100mm high, which appears to be the maximum height I can print uniformly on my printer before it starts to deform. To cover all the threaded rod (3.5 on each side), you'll need to print 7 of these designs.\nMake sure to include a wide brim at the bottom to ensure the part adheres properly to the bed. For optimal results, I recommend printing slowly with maximum cooling to keep the PLA rigid throughout the printing process. Once the printing is complete, simply snap the cover over the rod and enjoy your sleek-looking printer!\nPrint Settings\nPrinter: Maker Select V2\nRafts: Yes\nSupports: No\nResolution: PLA - 0.3mm\nInfill: none
