Wanhao I3 LCD Control Knob

This LCD control knob replaces the poorly-designed control knob included with the i3 printer. Printed as separate components, the base and top are assembled together using super glue. Mid-printing, I interrupted the creation of the top to switch colors and recreate the rhino design. A photograph of the Wanhao BuildTak logo was edited in Illustrator to create a digital outline that can be used for printing purposes. Using this illustration as an SVG file in 123D Design made it possible to merge it with the base. Although Simplify3D did not allow direct combination, grouping the elements still worked well. Update: Following these instructions produced a simplified and reduced knob design that eliminates potential problems such as misalignment. Scaling may be required depending on your specific printer, material used for printing, or customized settings in place; however I had to adjust it up 2% in order to achieve good results. Upon evaluating the accuracy of this remade design versus its predecessor, we can confirm a more reliable choice.
