Wanhao i3 Duplicator Filament Guide v2 (Donut Remix)
thingiverse
Big thanks to cyul for another fantastic Wanhao i3 mod :)\nI wasn't a fan of the slot that everyone seems to be including in their filament guides, so I chose my favorite filament guide design and removed it along with the locking nut. I also rounded the loop into a donut shape because I believe the filament should never have to scrape past a 90-degree corner.\nThis filament guide pairs really well with cyul's spool holder.\nI've designed a smaller version (12mm vs 20mm wide) with a 4mm hole for these reasons:\nIt reduces height by 40%, leading to faster prints and less plastic usage\nIt allows the use of narrower spools when mounted between cyul's spool rollers\nThe 4mm hole should fit a short piece of PTFE guide tube for minimal friction\nPTFE tube can help align the filament to the center of the spool, possibly reducing entanglement chances\nIf you want to use the small version with a PTFE tube like I have done in the photo, be aware that you may need to use a narrow rounded file to expand it slightly. The STL file has an exact 4mm diameter hole, but your printer will likely not reproduce it perfectly.\nThis design was edited in Tinkercad.
