I've decided to install a simple filament guide for my WANHAO Duplicator i3 printer. My preference is clear - I much prefer having the top spool position, and it's been great so far, but I've noticed that the filament has a tendency to get messy as it unwinds. This new guide has taken my printer from being somewhat sloppy looking to one that looks sleek and accurate at all times. What's more, it has also significantly reduced the amount of plastic that comes unwound off the spool on its own. For those who would rather feed their filament through in front of the portal frame, a mirrored version of this guide is available as well.
