Problem description: I operate a Wanhao Duplicator i3 Plus with a recent purchase from a new filament supplier, where the filament was wound on a 70mm wide reel. Unfortunately, the factory-mounted spindle wasn't designed to accommodate this wider diameter. Problem definition: The need for the printer to support a 70mm spindle width is a pressing concern. Opportunity: Expanding the printer's capabilities to handle variable-sized spindles would be a significant upgrade. Factory Spindle Width: 64mm New Spindle Width: 71mm Hardware Supplies: - Two 7R6 bearings with inner diameters of 3/8 inch and outer diameters of 7/8 inch. - A 120mm long, 3/8 threaded rod. - Three 3/8 inch hex nuts. - One 1/2 inch washer. Notes: The central nut in the spindle acts as both a stabilizer and brake.
