Wanhao Duplicator i3 LED mount
thingiverse
I came up with this design as a fun test project to publish, it's a simple and discrete LED mount that uses standard through-hole LEDs in series, attached to the front of my printer where the stock cooler sits. It's wired in parallel with the extruder cooling fan. To make it, you'll need: * 2 - #6 1/2" Machine Screws * 4 - 5mm Clear or Diffused White LED * 33 ohm resistor * Any translucent film to place behind the Rhino * Hot glue I used what I had on hand for the LEDs, but the angle was too narrow, so I sanded down the rounded part which worked pretty well. To install it: Just solder them in and get the polarity right - you can use a piece of paper to help with that. Once you've got two together, though, it's easier to just solder them in place on the print. Note: I'm now using the Ciii Cooler - Rear mounted cooler for Wanhao Duplicator i3 (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2004629), but the Cobra cooler works too. Any rear-mounted cooler will do, as long as it doesn't use the front screws where the original cooling fan sits. Print settings: * Rafts: Doesn't matter * Supports: Doesn't matter * Infill: 20% * Notes: I used Black Hatchbox ABS.
