Wanhao Duplicator i3 Hemera Mount
thingiverse
I finally upgraded the extruder on my Wanhao Duplicator i3, not the Plus or V2. This upgrade includes a mount plate with an "umbilical cord" for wires and strain relief, fan duct mount, fan duct, and BL Touch mount. The mount was remixed from another part, but I've lost track of the original source. If anyone knows where that source is, let me know so I can give proper credit. I added a spot to hold the wire harness and removed the X stepper since I have TMC2130s. The cooling duct was made by Hangtight, and they did an excellent job making it work, adjustable, and most importantly, printable without a fan. The mount for the duct was created by fiferboy. There aren't many options available for BL Touch and Hemera, so this was a crucial piece to the entire setup. The stronger BL Touch mount by maddash1337 may or may not have been necessary, but it's what I used, and it's working perfectly for me. Give these creators a shout-out if you use their parts. To assemble everything else, you'll need some longer M4x25 screws and 2 nuts to attach the X belt. You'll also need M4x25 bolts and nuts to mount the 5015 fan. The Hemera requires M3 screws for mounting, as well as an M3 screw for the stronger mount. Finally, you'll need (I think) M2 screws to mount the BL Touch. Originally, I mounted the BL Touch so I could see the circuit board, but it kept erroring out. After flipping it to show the logo, everything works fine now. Unfortunately, having all this on the right side of the X results in a significant loss – probably close to 30mm. However, that doesn't bother me. The wire harness part is my original creation.
