Wanhao Duplicator i3 E3D V6 Conversion WIP

Although still a work in progress, that's only because I'm trying to think of a better way to mount my inductive sensor, just ask if you want the plans right now. Ignore my terrible quality photos and my sloppy wire management. The actual printed piece itself is extremely rigid and made out of ABS, which should be able to resist the heat given off by the heated bed and extruder without softening or warping. This is a remix of Evaken's remix of PiggyJJ's E3d V6 conversion for the Duplicator I3. To use this, you will need to download and print AzzA's Z extensions for the I3 V2 (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1444979) as these will help compensate for the loss in z height caused by the V6 being larger than the MK 10 hotend. I have made my own custom versions that increase the z height by another 30 mm, which I might upload if requested. By moving the extruder higher up on the gantry, I am able to recover lost z height simply by having more space underneath the top bar. In all my testing, this has not seemed to impact printing performance. I would highly recommend the mod, although it does look rather strange. I have recently found a fantastic Z-Probe mount that is compatible with this mod and is much better than my own. Thanks to HoolyHoo for the awesome design! https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1960419 Print Settings Printer: Wanhao Duplicator I3 Rafts: No Supports: Yes Resolution: .2 mm layer height Infill: 20-30% Notes: You could likely do with less infill, but this is a structurally integral part and I wanted the piece to be as stiff as possible.
