This design is inspired by delukat's adjustable feet for the Wanhao i3, found at http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:916707. However, I encountered issues with loose threads when printing, as well as insufficient interlocking thread when two parts are screwed together. One photo shows my design and delukat's side by side. I printed all these at 100 micron resolution to achieve the best accuracy on the threads, but still found them a little too loose. Therefore, I started from scratch with this new design, which uses an M8x1.25 thread with 12mm on the clamp that attaches to the printer frame and 20mm thread on the foot. The foot has 12 sides and comes equipped with a small spanner/wrench, making fine adjustments a bit easier since the foot base is only 6mm thick. The tolerances on the threads are quite tight, with an extra 100 microns breathing space added to both the foot base and the frame clamp assembly. I made several trials with the frame clamp assembly and found that 50, 75, and 100 micron gaps worked okay for me, but 50 was a bit too tight. The overall gap of 200 microns (0.2mm) should offer the best compromise for everyone involved, hopefully. **A second frame clamp version has been added, which is a low-profile version that drops the frame clip an additional 3mm. A photo is attached showing all three versions side by side, using the same bolt assembly. You can use a a.
