The Wanhao Duplicator D9 400 X Axis Extruder Plate offers a significant upgrade, allowing for a 180-degree rotation of the printer head. This adjustment brings the nozzle closer to the X axis, thereby reducing height differences between the nozzle and the bed during printing. To achieve optimal results, several modifications are necessary. First, a drill needs to be used to create threads in the printer head, much like drilling a hole for a screw. Pictures will illustrate the precise placement of the printer head. Additionally, holes must be drilled according to the extruder plate's specifications. Four 25mm M3 screws are required to reinforce the part between layers. The Z-axis beams need to be adjusted by moving them forward more than usual so that the bed can reach its full range with the nozzle located closer to the X axis. This adjustment necessitates drilling an additional hole in the printer chassis beam for new access to the screw holding the Z-axis beams. This hole does not require precision, as it only needs to accommodate the Allen wrench used to tighten the screws. Pictures will show the exact distance of this new hole. The bracket is compatible with both the original Wanhao Duplicator and the updated version of the D9 Mk2, and also works well with the WAGGSTER FIRMWARE V1.0 software.
