I've now had my printer for a couple of weeks and discovered several issues. Nothing major, but as I identify them, I'll procure or fabricate new components. One print caught my attention with a noticeable "ridge" partway down. A quick examination revealed that the two 8mm rods at the back of the printer were shifting slightly - upon closer inspection, the retaining holes varied in size from approximately 8.1 to 8.4 mm. I designed replacements for these parts and a "setting tool" for measuring and aligning the rods to the back wall. The bottom ones proved fiddly, but they're worth replacing. An added advantage is that after making the change, the bed leveled in seconds. Printed in Medium resolution (0.2mm) with PLA Final fitting I deliberately left the holes tight, then reamed them out with an 8mm drill - the holes were spot on afterwards (with care). The top ones were easy to replace, but you'll need to remove your bottom circuit board to access one of the bottom ones, so unplug your machine first! The image shows one of the top replacements in its final position.
