Wanhao D6 Plus Nylon Spool Holder

WD6 Taulman Nylon Spool Holder Taulman nylon filament spools from the USA unfortunately do not have a standard hole diameter of 50 mm and therefore cannot fit on common spool holders. The Wanhao coil holder is too thick and too short anyway. Taulman coils have a diameter of 126 mm, a width of 77 mm, and through holes with a diameter of only 19 mm. I designed and tested a custom thorn for the Taulman nylon coils to fit into the intended opening for the Wanhao Duplicator 6 Plus. The M30 nut also fits the Wanhao coil holder. When inserting the Taulman nylon coil over the thorn, secure it with the knurled nut and screw it in by hand until it stops. I printed the parts first in PETG (Prusament transparent) and then in PLA-TEC (better technical properties than normal PLA). Both work well, but the Taulman coil on the PLA-TEC thorn has a slightly higher coefficient of friction, which results in even filament rolling. This coil holder is also suitable for all other filament coils that can be processed with the Wanhao Duplicator 6 Plus.
