I installed a rear fan on my printer, but I couldn't tolerate the empty bracket on the front. So, I came up with a custom solution for a dual LED 5050 strip. You can also use a single row if that's what you need. If you're running your printer at 24VDC like me, you'll have to put a 240-ohm (1W) resistor in series or two 120-ohm (0.5W) resistors in series. I simply connected it to the extruder fan port, so it turns on when the printer is running. You'll need two M3x5mm screws to hold it in place - they should fit snugly into the bracket without any nuts. If the color block at the back feels a bit loose, you can use M3x6mm screws and it will stay put.
